Overview

When I was first learning data modelling and the Three Normal Forms, I found there was a dearth of information on the subject that I found very useful. More often than not the material was too advanced for me, but even beginner's tutorials left me scratching my head.

What I really needed was a tutorial that showed me, with positive examples, what the data would look like at each stage in the normalization process.

Therefore once I had gained some facility in the subject I resolved to write the tutorial that would have helped me when I was starting out. As time goes on I get more and more positive feedback about this tutorial, both from desperate seekers like myself and from IT instructors who are relieved to find such a clear and readily-available explication.
