Thanks for your comment! The answer to all of your questions is “yes”. The Hilltown (not actually “hilton” :-) is in the city, and auto-rickshaws are everywhere. I saw a few autos on the road out to Abbi falls, and according to my Rough Guide to South India, they cost about Rs 185 for the round trip. Regarding Namdroling, if you’re going by bus I don’t know how you’d get there. I suppose you could get off at Kushalnagar and hire an auto from there. My trusty Rough Guide says the turn-off is at a place called Koppa, between Bylakuppe and Kushalnagar. To be honest, I never noticed Bylakuppe or Koppa, though perhaps I was there… my buddies had to ask directions several times to point us in the right direction. It’s worth the trouble though– very impressive. Good luck!!

Like to know few things…is this hilton hotel in the city madhikeri as i am planning to go by bus..Actually, looking for a hotel in the city itself…second question is ricksha/local transport is available in the city? like to go to abbi falls..?? third is, how about the tibetian monestry..is that on the bus way/route? i was planning to go there while coming back from madhikeri….thanks in advance!
