If so then this picture would have to be dated 1948, since John was not stationed to Pekisko before spring of that year. It might also have been at John's previous posting at Sentinel. Sentinel Peak is not far from Mt. Head, but it is unclear where the ranger station was situated and whether Mt. Head is so clearly visible from there.
